Blogger Unite - The Aftermath
It never ceases to amaze me, the power of people motivated by a central cause - this this case the cause to do good. Over 100 posts were added to the main forum of spreading the news of what we’ve done. And just as Jessica in Rome stated, I don’t typically let others know about my works of charity - or “good deeds” as I don’t want to put the spot light on my self (kind of defeats the purpose.) I’m sure that if you have followed this event, you are aware of some of the stories, but I wanted to share just a handful of the accounts of what folks accomplished in this wonderful event:
Here are some of other blogs that participated! Feel free to read them and get in the spirit of kindness!

An act of kindness that’s been going on for years
Keep this good stuff going, let’s not wait till next year, or until a wonderful community is tempting us with great prises! I pledge to do something like this once a month, not for my sake - but because it’s the right thing to do. If I’ve learned anything from this, it would have to be that to go beyond myself and reach out to others is very rewarding! It’s showed my children the true meaning of charity and the spirit of giving (giving without the wanting of anything to be received.) We live is a very selfish society, I’m going to do my part of changing that, what are you going to do?

Thanks for blogging about Bloggers Unite day at BC. As list above, we had a wonderful turnout and so many acts of kindness shown to others.
Thanks for posting this! I would love for you to link back to me so others can follow though the trackback! Thanks!
Thanks!!!
Hi Brad,
You asked about what I plan to do next over at my bloggers unite post about Acts of Kindness Day. This is an excellent question! I am already thinking about what I can do to incorporate this perspective more permanently into my awareness. I am somewhat new to working with the public in my job so I am trying to be more conscious of the little things - paying someone a sincere compliment, offering a friendly hello, trying to be helpful with their needs. Truth to tell, when I started catching a cold yesterday I realized that I have to be good to myself as well in order to really be of service to the world around me.

I’m glad that you’ve taken to heart what I’ve said and that you’re doing something beyond just one day! Most of the time it’s the little things, the small kind gestures that make the difference. Sometimes it’s just the power of someone listening to someones rant after (or during) a bad day, or the open arm of a “free hug.” What ever you decide to do, just follow through - let this not be just words, as Blog Catalog said in the first place. I’m really sorry that you’ve come down with a cold - and hope that you get well soon.
Merry Christmas,
Brad
